Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) for Anorexia Nervosa

This one day online teaching provides;
- An overview of the SSCM and its application in clinical practice for the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa as recommended by NICE guidelines

Practical examples and discussion of SSCM strategies and techniques including managing common challenges in treatment
- An understanding of SSCM compared to other evidenced based interventions for Anorexia Nervosa (CBT-E and MANTRA)

Reflections from delivering SSCM in NHS Adult Eating Disorders Services
This teaching is suitable for;
Professionals working with adults with Anorexia Nervosa in an outpatient setting with such as Mental Health Nurses, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Psychologists, Doctors and Social Workers. It may also be useful for CBT Therapists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Family Therapists looking to increase their understanding of the approach. It is assumed that you will already have an understanding of Anorexia Nervosa and how it presents, the training does not include an introduction to eating disorders. We briefly look at adaptations for severe and enduring eating disorders however this is not the main focus of the teaching.
Places are limited to ensure that the training day is as interactive as possible. You will be emailed a Zoom invitation 1-2 weeks prior to the training date, please ensure to provide the email you would like the invite sent to when completing your booking.
Cancellation Policy; Payment is required at time of booking. If you are unable to attend or wish to cancel a booked space, cancellations need to be made at least two weeks before the event date. If you cancel your place within this time you can have a refund minus a £2 (per person) transaction fee or you can transfer to an alternative training date. In any other case we are unable to issue a refund or transfer, this is to cover costs incurred for reserving a space.
